2 words to describe my experience with Dr Ghetau - Life changing I first saw her 8 months ago after a long battle with not being taken seriously by the NHS. The standard of care with Psychiatry UK was night and day compared to how I was treated by NHS consultants - Dr Ghetau works to a standard most other Drs would do well to strive for. She left me feeling listened to, understood and like someone had finally made the effort to hear what I was saying instead of talking over me and fobbing me off. She seemed genuinely interested in helping me, treated me like a person and respected me, something I can't say for a lot of other clinicians. The online portal through Psychiatry UK is another benefit as you can easily access your case notes, arrange prescriptions and contact your Dr if needed. Being able to be seen via video call was a huge bonus for me as it meant I could be comfortable at home rather than having to travel over an hour to be seen elsewhere. Again, these are things the NHS would do well to implement. I was misdiagnosed with borderline personality disorder by the NHS, when in reality I was dealing with bipolar disorder, psychosis and ADHD. Now, I am on appropriate treatment for these and can't explain how much of an improvement in symptoms I have seen. My mood is now stable, I can focus, I'm not hearing things or fidgeting constantly, my brain feels a normal speed and I am now making plans for my future (which is something I haven't done for a long time). Friends and family have commented on how much better I seem outwardly too. If you had asked me 8 months ago if I could have pictured me now, I'd have thought you were describing someone else. As mentioned at the start, seeing Dr Ghetau has been truly life changing and I can't begin to thank her enough for all of her support in getting me to where I am now. If you are considering treatment by her you will not be disappointed, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

I contacted Dr Elena Ghetau over my concerns of having ADHD due to long lasting issues. Dr Elena was nothing short of magnificent, she listen carefully throughout the the diagnosis, she showed great emphaty and understanding. She guided me through the entire process and explained everything to me in detail and in layman terms so that I could understand it perfectly. After the diagnosis Dr Elena took the time to explain treatment options without pressuring me towards any specific option (I decided to take medication). Furthermore, she made me feel at ease and really listend to me, both on a professional clinical level and on a human level, which I appreciated a lot! Not something you see often when you go to the doctor. Afterwards, through the Psychiatry patient portal, Dr. Elena always took the time to answer my follow up questions and would encourage me to keep her updated on my progress which made me feel really good and safe with the titration procedure. I definitly never encountered such a good and human doctor! 6/5 if I could. 120% satisfaction. All in all Dr. Elena Ghetau seemed very competent on both a professional and human/interpersonal level.

This doctor is really good. She is polite, kind and listens carefully to your problems. She is very knowledgeable, I was able to learn a lot from her. After suffering a lifetime with various mental health ailments, after seeing her and receiving treatment there has been much improvement. She is not awkward or stubborn like some psychiatrists. I would highly recommend this doctor.

I honestly cannot recommend Dr. Ghetau enough. I've struggled with what I only assumed to be ADHD for years and finally sought out help through Psychiatry-UK. I was diagnosed as a child but treatment stopped as an adolescent, thinking it had "gone away". I've learned only through years of underperforming, bouts of depression and many other things that my ADHD had manifested itself in different ways in my adult life. I was very nervous about using an online service and wasn't sure what to expect but I was unfortunately not getting anywhere with the NHS. Dr Ghetau was very thorough and extremely responsive to any and all of my questions and concerns throughout the evaluation process. She remains willing and prompt to address any of my queries after the fact and for that I am extremely grateful. I've learned that with the use of medication as a tool, coupled with coaching and therapy, I could get my life on track.

Dr Ghetau is fantastic. I consulted her after "failing" an autism assessment with the NHS despite several psychologists saying over the years that I probably had it. Having been told by the NHS that I did not have an asc, I began to worry that maybe I had something like a mix of borderline personality disorder + avoidant personality disorder, because what other explanation could there be for the chaos that was my life? I am 62 and I have known that something was not right I think for most of my life I felt very depressed and knew that I really ought to see a psychiatrist to find out what these disorders actually were or if it was something different like bipolar disorder. I just did not know. I actually first approached a colleague of Dr Ghetau's who suggested I spoke with her instead. I am so glad I did. I was worried about approaching her but there was no need to be. She was kind, attentive to my issues and listened and made sense of the things I was telling her. I also felt that she is probably pretty unshockable! At last I have my diagnosis of asc and adhd. Now I can go forward for the remaining years of my life knowing who I am, how I tick and how many of the situations I have found myself in the past are not of my making but a result of how I naturally react to the world around me. If you are looking for a psychiatrist for an asc or adhd assessment then Dr Ghetau is your doctor; look no further. It was worth every penny it cost for the assessments (there were two of them) and the titration of one medicine against others; I feel I am in safe hands and she is monitoring me carefully. Thank you Dr Ghetau for changing my life (or at least pointing me in the right direction towards changing it and giving me the wherewithal to do so). I am so relieved of a burden that I have carried around for most of my 62 years. It is never too late to get a diagnosis!
